Teamwork is so important that it is virtually impossible for the team to reach the heights of it's capabilities or achieve winning results without becoming very good at it. You must practice TEAMWORK as a team, not as individuals!

For the first time VOS (Vancouver Ocean Sport/Pogue Sports) will be entered in a dragonboat festival....Whistler! It will be interesting considering majority of us are outrigger paddlers. We're there for a lot of fun in the sun and on the water!

The VOS/Pogue Outrigger guys seemed to have no problem adapting to the Dragon Boats at Alcan (and where is Bob, anyway?)

A big big thank you to Mr. Bus Driver (from Dogwood Nothin Dragon?) for escorting us paddlers safely to and from the site in such hot weather!

Just an FYI on the ** by Pemberton's time. Originally on Saturday Pemberton was able to field two teams, Eagles (jr) and Baldies (Sr.). Due to several factors Pemberton were not able to fill the two teams on Sunday (they ran short for their first heats) and it was requested if they could combine the two to form a full boat. This was approved by officials and the other 'A' final teams but since the original roster changed they were not allowed to race for placement. Now on to the festival it was sweeeettt!!! Too bad for those who chose not to attend. Beautiful venue, clean water, amazing weather and not only was there a beer garden but the racer's village was licensed as well !!! Water's Edge and all parties involved once again put on an amazing show. Looking forward to next year.
