So after several years of not paddling and not changing my diet a huge amount, the Snickers bars and donuts are starting to catch up. I've gone down to the FCRCC office twice, sent 2 emails and tried calling several times (no voicemail option available). The first time I went to the office was a Saturday at 1230pm. The website says its open 12-2pm. A note on the door said the 2015 hours were from 9am-12pm. I went again today and was there a little before 5pm. The posted hours are from 4-7pm. I stuck around for almost 30 minutes before I had to leave.

Still waiting on replies to my emails. Nothing about being away in the voice message greeting when you call them and no auto-reply "away" message for the emails.   .....Does anyone work in the office anymore?

Email I got June 30 said the following (among a bunch of other stuff) ....

"FCRCC Office Hours - Saturday hours are now back to the 9 am to noon time frame commencing on July 4th."

Not sure though, I'm paddling out of Burrard compound these days.

You can start your membership here:

... although I'm not sure how/if it handles prorating the balance of the 2015 season so an office visit might be required if it can't do it.  You'll also have to send in a digital photo for your ID.

Whatever that link was, it expired/doesn't work. *EDIT* - found the link on the website.

The biggest thing for me is obtaining a key for the boat sheds, which I'm assuming means going to the office, unless something has changed.

Alright. Officially a member again. Now I wait for my ID card to be ready and somehow getting a key.  Very Happy

You need the office for both of those.  Might want to call in a heads up during office hours tomorrow, keys are always around by I know they can't always print out an ID while you wait.  You did email a pic, right?  That said, I think I've only been asked for ID once this year.

Sorry about the link, I tested it but I guess it had a session tag on it or they laid a cookie on me.

Outrigger nationals this weekend, are you ready yet  Laughing

No worries. I think the link is individual/security thingy so your personal info doesn't get shared....   Yes, sent in my photo.

Yep, I'm ready!  ....to be the slow-poke holding up the race heat progression.
