Dragon Boat Coach
Seventh Wave is looking for a coach for the 2015 season.
Seventh Wave is a womens recreational team, the core of which has been paddling together since 2000. The team is composed of mature women, ages mid 40's up to mid 70's. We are independent in that we are not supported or funded by any sponsor. We have a core of 16-18 paddlers, however, we also need to recruit new members each year as paddlers have to leave the team for various reasons. While we are competitive, our base team philosophy is to get on the water and get in shape, while having fun. We are keen to work on our skills and stamina and our goal is to improve on our regatta results each season.
The team traditionally practices Wednesdays at 6:15 pm and Saturdays at 8 am in Deep Cove, North Vancouver. Our season starts in March or April and continues until September, depending on the regattas the team decides to enter each year.
