Hello Everyone:
This year BC Blind Sports is putting together a new Dragon Boat team "Outta Sight', in Victoria.
We currently have a roster of about 12 paddlers on the team including 6 visually impaired paddlers. We are looking for a team manager, steersperson, drummer and paddlers.

Dates for the program:
Sunday, June 8 - Team Meeting/Sighted Volunteer Training. An important session for sighted guide training for the sighted volunteers (paddlers). An opportunity to meet your team members and coaches. Learn about the team and how things will run. Hand in your membership forms and fees.
Location - Capital City Center Hotel, 1961 Douglas Street, Victoria
Time - 10am to 3pm - Light refreshments will be available
Wednesday, June 19th - Team orientation 5:30 to 6:30pm
Wednesdays and Fridays from June 26th to August 14th - Team practices from 5:30 to 7:00pm
Saturday, August 10th - Gorge Regatta
August 16th - 18th - Victoria Dragon Boat Festival
Fees:
Fees for team members include: practices, team t-shirt and membership with BC Blind Sports and Recreation Association.
· Sighted volunteer paddlers pay $70.00
· Blind/VI paddlers pay $80.00
These fees are due at the team meeting on June 8th.
