Hi!
I run the youth program out of Dragonzone in Vancouver. Every year, DragonboatBC hosts a big event for hundreds of inner-city elementary school children, free of charge for them. We require the help of lots of volunteers, either for coaching or steering, to run it.
You would get a free hot dog and drink, but the rewards of helping out inner city children in our community is really what keeps our volunteers coming back.

[email protected] if you could coach or steer. We can run a quick orientation for new staff members, and you would also have the opportunity to join our coaching/steering roster for future (paid) events.
The sessions are:
Fri May 10th 1030am-12pm Foundation Alternate Program (1 coach, 1 steer open)
Wed May 22nd 12:30-2pm Strathcona Elem (7 coach, 7 steers open)
Thurs June 13th 10:30am-12pm Admiral Seymour Elem (1 steer spot open)
Thurs June 13th 12:30-2pm Strathcona Elem (7 coach, 7 steer spots open)
