The number of Victoria teams participating in the BC Cancer Foundation pledge drive for the Victoria Dragon Boat Festival is now up to 8 and we're on pace to smash previous fundraising totals.  The teams are now in the home stretch for fundraising so if you have some spare cash and can help them out please go to the following links....

All money raised benefits the BC Cancer Foundation which directly supports BC Cancer Agency.  As a cancer researcher I know how important community-based fundraising is in furthering research and improving patient care.  Please consider helping out one of these fine teams and if you're a Victoria crew, consider joining us for the pledge drive next year, it's really easy to do!

Blazing Paddles!

Last year you were the highest or second-highest fundraisers for this drive.  You kicked ass!  This year however your entire team is showing fifty bucks.  FIFTY???  For a team that in the past raised thousands of dollars for BC Cancer Foundation, that's just pathetic.

Come on, give us a challenge!  You're better than this, much better!

That's over $47,400 so far in addition to funds raised in the Lights of Courage Campaign (all the laterns you see down at the site).

We have until the end of the weekend to raise funds, just go to the links at the start of the post, pick a team and let's see if the paddlers can raise $50K! (last year we only had 3 teams participating and raised $30,500 so this is awesome!)
