The Canadian National Championships were held July 1, 2, and 3 in Welland Ontario. The FCRCC Seniors C competed in Mixed, Open, and Womens categories. Races weere 200m, 500m, and 2000m and the competition was mainly Pickering Quinte Dragonboat club, one of the largest in Ontario. The results of the races were Gold in Mixed and Open, and Silver in Womens. As a result, FCRCC Senior C won the Division Championship, defending their title from 2010.

Coached by Brad Howie, and organized by Pat Pawlett, the Seniors C started just three months ago and were able to, through hard work and practice, develop a cohesive and team oriented team.

Congratulations are due to the coach, and the paddlers for their dedication. FCRCC has been a pioneer in Seniors dragonboating in Canada, if not the World, and Senior C is to be included in the next IDBF World Championships. No doubt, FCRCC Seniors will be there, representing Canada.
