Interestingly enough this has been my 2nd Dash and it was freezing cold and rainy/haily both times, yet it is one of the most well-run regattas in my personal experience. Water's Edge is a team of friendly, reliable, and professional faces that have historically run great regattas over the years.
I like the Dash because I love sprints. There aren't any other regattas that are pure sprints. I kinda liked that always-on-the-move feel, but only once in a while. The ladies on our team never really got to go to the tent to sit down or digest something. The last time that happened was at Nationals when people from various teams raced up to 21... TWENTY ONE... times in 2 days.
Good atmosphere. Good racing. Thanks WE!
ps: Kudos to One West for training so hard even during school, work, and life. I can totally relate to the sacrifice of time, energy, money, and social life... and you guys are definitely my heroes this year. Represent us youngins! I'm with you all the way.

don't forget the Gorge Sprints are coming up on May 28th... Too bad that is the same weekend as the FCRCC Women's regatta (May 28th) and then the DZ Regatta (May 29th). The two pre-cursors to Rio Tinto festival. Just so many regattas and not enough weekends (or money).

The two pre-cursors to Rio Tinto festival. Just so many regattas and not enough weekends (or money). Just do both of them. The sprints on Sat then the Regatta on Sunday. Full weekend of racing (250 and 500) and no hotels required.

Well a number of the women from mixed teams will be racing in the women's regatta. If you accept men dressed as women as the female paddlers on a team I am pretty sure some teams could do it

If I get an open boat full of crossdressers who will pay the entry fee... I'll gladly make an exhibition heat for them.
