It was exciting to watch the Open Race at the end of the day! There should be a festival dedicted to an Open Division somewhere! I can guarantee that the women would come and watch!  Very Happy

Congratulations to the Gorging Dragons and Extreme Reach for winning it today!

Funny.  A few of us were talking about that at the Cultus Lake Women's Festival today.  We were jokingly throwing stuff around like where it would be, who would run it, and what it would be called.  Sausage Festival for a name kept creeping in there.

Funny the organizers didnt get the name for our open team right at all. Even when they were told what the name was in the beer tent through the presentations. On the results page we are called Man Beat, our name was Man Meat. The reason I bring this all up is because I thought we had a much better name that we didnt use................Goblin Seamen. The race was a blast though.

Thank you to the organizers and the volunteers, without you the festival would not have been possible. The goblins had a great time and hopefully turned a few heads. Being the Spirit award champions felt pretty damn nice too.

Joining with the Navy for the mens heat was a real learning experience and we hope to use that in the Victoria festival. They clearly deserve to be one of the top teams.

The Goblins march onto the Victoria festival next weekend. You ready for us?

The results are all fixed up and re-posted - Fourth Place Times and Crew Compositions for the Stache Down (in case anyone was wondering who the fellas were). http://www.gorowandpaddle.org/events/gorge_fest.php?id=24&press=1&draw_column=3:3:2

Thank you paddlers for making the 12th Annual RE/MAX Gorge Fest a great success! See you at next years events.

Now that is what a festival organization should be like they saw mistakes and fixed them.
GRPC runs a fantastic festival. Same goes for the 250 sprints at the begining of the year, awesome!
Thanks GRPC.
