We're pleased to announce that we have been working with Mountain Equipment Co-op to organize a club night for DragonBoatWest members. If you haven't picked up your paddling gear yet, this would be a great opportunity to do so.

I assume this only applies to the Vancouver MEC, or does it apply for Calgary and Edmonton as well?

Sorry, it only applies to the Vancouver store unfortunately. If it's successful, we would like to see it extended to other stores in the future.

Thanks to everyone that came out to the MEC club night last night and congratulations to the winners of the draw prizes throughout the night. I hope everyone is now well stocked for the coming season.
For those that attended, please let us know how we could improve it if we were to run it again in the future.
Thanks

The only thing I would change would be to make it earlier in the year, maybe in early February.
That would allow most people to hit the store before dragonboat season starts (for those not on super competitive teams), and stock up on the essentials for the upcoming season.
It would also prevent the night conflicting with a Canucks playoff game which I know took precedence for many in the end.
Overall it was great, and many thanks for organising it.

I would agree with PPR in making it earlier in the year (Feb sounds good) for the same reasons mentioned.
Thanks for organizing it!!

Only problem with the end of Feb is that none of the new inventory would have arrived. I don't think MEC received their paddling gear until mid-March.

Great event! Normally MEC is so busy and the sales staff aren't always available. This was like a private shopping event and I was able to ask a lot questions without being rushed.
Probably could have spent more time there and bought more.
