Do you play video games? Do you own a PS3 or Xbox 360? Do you want to play against other paddlers online? Now here's your chance. Whether you're taking a break from your winter training or enjoying your off-season, a group of us would like to set up a game night and play some games together.
To get this started, if you're interested, post up your Xbox Gamertag, PSN ID and what games you like to play online. We'll try and organize something for the coming weeks.

You mean the budget-price NVG that comes with MW2?

, I think you'd be surprised who's playing video games these days. The average age of a gamer is in the late 20's/early 30's... But yeah, I do remember blowing into the NES cartridges to get them working.. as well as "jiggling" the connection when the cartridge was in the system.
I was thinking about picking up Demon's Souls, but I'm just not that big of a masochist to put myself through all the frustration that I'm hearing. Of course it would be a big high when you actually do clear a level.
The Night Vision Goggles that came with the Prestige Edition is basically a re-mold of a toy NVG that's sold in toy stores. I'm not really surprised since companies are all about making money. People seriously thought they would be getting military-grade?
I managed to pick up a copy of the vanilla edition of Modern Warfare 2 so if anyone's interested in playing some multi-player with
glowing_ice
and I, feel free in adding me to your list. I've put my online ID's in the first post.

You definitely should pick up Demon's Soul. It's hard, but not frustratingly so. It's a game that rewards patience and planning, so no-go if you want to just bumrush everyone.
Eh, which MW2 did you get? 360, PS3, or PC? You gotta clarify since it seems like every single damned game out lately are multiplatform. I haven't considered much for my next FPS purchase, considering between MW2 and L4D2, but I could skip out on both of them and wait for Heavy Rain.

Or what about Asteroids? Or PACMAN? Or Galaga? Aren't those in style anymore? What about MechWarrior? I had that when I first bought my Windows 95 PC. Does that still work?
You would think with me having a 3 adn 5 year old I would have at least one console but nope, not yet. So I too haven't the foggiest idea what you boys and girls are talking about. But maybe one day I will learn...
And madcap I too am showing my age obviously!

OK.. setting up a Game Night for Modern Warfare 2 on 360. Time will be 9:30pm Pacific, Monday November 16th.
If anyone's interested, please let us know or feel free in adding me to your friend's list. I'll be sending out Game Invites to my list probably 5 minutes prior.
mapcap
, I grew out of Snakes & Ladders back in early grade school.
Bernman
, I remember running the original MechWarrior off of a floppy disk in Computer Science class in high school. You're probably thinking of MechWarrior 2 though. I've heard it can be run on a Windows XP machine, but requires some "fiddling around". To be honest, I think kids that age are too young for video games.

You might not be able to get your 15 year old copy of Mechwarrior to run on your PC, but there's a
new Mechwarrior game
coming out that might be better suited to modern PC's.
