Mmm. I don't know how many teams for sure, but Magnums will be there for certain. I'm sure that RGL United are going as well. Not sure about other teams.

I believe Splash Test Dragons, Scotiabank, TCC Epson Dragoneers, and Phat Phish Racing will be there.

I believe NAVY will be there as well.

Care to make predictions anyone?

Mmm. Hard to say, I'm predicting that Sudden Impact Black will take this festival easily, followed by the such of Navy, RGL United, Phat Phish, and Scotiabanks.

Kelowna is always the hardest festival to make predictions for... it's hard to know which teams are bringing their full compliment, which teams are their just to party, and which teams will pick up the most ringers...

I've heard many conflicting rumors as to how many and to which teams some of the FCRCC paddlers have pledged their allegiance for the weekend so it's hard to assess what if any impact this will have on the results.

Sudden Impact Black & Navy appear to be the standouts from those mentioned above...assuming they both go to Kelowna, the first two crews at the recent Pentiction festival (O'kai I'Kika U'as & the Save On Foods Dragonslayers) should both be in the mix if they go.

After that will be the usual motley crews, Scotiabank (with FCRCC paddlers), Dragonhearts Magnum, Phat Phish, Eye of the Dragon, RGL United & if the rumor of FCRCC ringers is true TCC.

I haven't hard which if any of the prairie crews will be there, but I would not be surprised if some of them figured in the mix as well.

I too heard rumours that since FCRCC is not fielding a team then members of that team will compliment existing teams. I know that some will be true to their original rosters. It is only fair so that way the team can really be proud of their accomplishments throughout the season. Putting on ringers really isn't the true team now is it? Unless you already happen to be an elite team such as FCRCC then picking up a few paddlers probably wouldn't make the team any stronger. In fact it might just keep them where they are supposed to be in the first place. So picking up ringers for a team such as them is OK in my books.

Anyway mixed teams that I am aware of are as follows:

Pupply Love Dragons (no idea where they are from! Probably a mishmash of crews combined.  Confused)
Fluid Motion
EOTD
RGL United
Phat Phish
Dragon Hearts Magnum
Synergy Legacy
Scotia Dragons
SI Black
Calgary DB Club Crew Yahoo
Navy Dragon Anchors
Guardian Dragons
Red Fushion
Extreme Currents
Ready, Jet, Go!
Team Lifescan
Inbalance Powered by Blenz Coffee
Team Ruckus
JDA
Uhuru
Alley Katz
TD Lightning
Shaggin Dragons Reloaded

That is just to name a few. There will be 58 mixed teams I believe.

It personally doesn't bother me if a team picks up "ringers" for a festival... If it means the team in question would not have had enough paddlers to field a team then I'd rather have the chance to race against them with their ringers than not race against them at all.. the more teams at a regatta the better as far as I'm concerned..
