Hi everyone,
We have a bunch of paddlers from our crew (Paddlers of the Fifth Moon) heading down to the dragon boat festival in Portland in early Sept. We're looking for someone interested in steering as I'd rather paddle. My first preference would be to have someone from Victoria join us as it will make it easier to get a couple practices in and sort out carpooling but if that doesn't work out then hey, I'm not fussy!
We also may still have a few spots left for any paddlers interested in checking out Portland, perhaps you'd want to scout it out for your team next year? We're looking for fun, easy to get along with people that work hard and don't take themselves too seriously! We're aiming to have it as a fun, end of season trip, a chance to go race on some different water purely for the sake of racing. I think we have a grand total of 3-5 guys on the boat right now, it would be great to have a couple more to balance the boat out as a mixed crew but in general, I'd just love to have some strong, reliable, enthusiastic paddlers (of either gender!) looking to get some extra racing in before the dragon boats disappear for the winter!
