I just visited the adbf website for a list of teams and the list looks pretty short. Can anyone tell me when it was last updated??
Also, False Creek itself looks a bit narrower this year. Will there still be 8 boat heats??
If so I would imagine the lanes will be a bit narrower, making for some very close contact
during the races.

It hasn't been updated for some time.
For instance, Calgary Race Club paid the entry fee a while ago and still is not on the list.
I'm sure with everything going on around False Creek, the organizers have more important things to do than update the team list at this time.

Does anybody know where the setup will be this year for the paddlers village??
Seems the area south of science world looks more cramped than ever before.
Any thoughts or availability to the lot where Indy was held, or is that too far.
Any one know?

Per the minutes from the Managers Meeting of April 16, 2008, the Racer's Village will be the same as last year, i.e. the north side of False Creek.

hmmm that's interesting, Cirque Du Soleil is in town again this year at the same time as the festival, I was under the impression they'd be using that spot again

The web site has since been updated, right now it shows 99 mixed teams entered, 27 women's teams, 21 juniors and 5 seniors.
Looks like a pretty good mix of teams.
I notice Pac Reach 2 is entered but not PR1.
Are they going to Toronto that weekend?

With the new walkway open on the South side of the creek, (athletes village) it should provide good viewing for the races.

If anyone has a chance, it is a nice ride/walk/run.
