Well, I guess I have to start somewhere.... so here goes!

I am very interested in the dragonboating experience, and would really like to get involved with a team right here in the Fraser Valley. I have absolutely no experience however I am a strong competitor and very committed. Oh, and I like to have a good time!

If anyone out there is looking for new members, or knows how I can get involved with a team that is looking for paddlers, I would certainly appreciate the heads up.

Thanks!

It depends on your location in the valley , if your close to ft langley they have a great club , The Pirates practice on Harrison and have half the team come in from mission and abbey twice a week

there is also clubs in pt moody (lotus club) and a bunch of chilliwack independents that use Cultus lake if you need any info about any of these let me know and i`ll send you direct

Pirates are a FUN crew... Our team matched up and went to Victoria last year with them.  Ian and Cory and Pasha have sometimes paddled with us.  Karen joined us for our specialty race.

Every team has a different personality.  Find a team that fits your schedule, your goals.  Find a team where you like the people... and the coach...  It will be more satisfying all around.

I agree the Pirates are a fun group ... Thanks for taking that vid Ian.

We are also looking for paddlers ... we tend to be a little more serious BUT we do enjoy the Beer Garden's after race parties.
