This came from Leah the race register,

Hi all,

This email is only for teams entered in the Dragon Zone 200m Sprint Regatta.
Please disregard if you are not entered in this event.

We have changed the format for this event slightly due to the number of teams
registered.

Saturday, April 14 @ Dragon Zone
10am-approx. 3pm
6 boat heats (geminis)
12 minutes between heats
3 races per team
Junior teams will only race other junior teams.

Please ensure you have an accredited steersperson for this event. If you do not,
please see the race registrar on race day prior to your first race and we will
do our best to find you one.

Waivers are required for this event and must be submitted to me at the
registration tent by 9AM on race day. Adult teams must complete ONE Adult Team
Waiver per team, junior teams must complete the Junior Team Roster and submit
one Junior Waiver per team member (signed by a parent or guardian). Go here for
waivers:

http://www.adbf.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=downloads.listbycat&catid=13

The race grid will be sent out next week, but if you plan to be onsite from
9am-3pm, that should be sufficient.

More details will be sent out as they are available

_______________________________________________

Although I'm no longer on a jr. team(I can be technically), just coaching one, I can't help but feel that they're shafting the juniors as usual,

with only 6 jr.teams registered, it means that the jr. teams will be racing the same teams over and over again for 3 races, if we wanted that, we'd find teams to race with during practice times, not pay 200 bucks,

the grid is supposed to be out on thursday or friday...as fresh as you can get,

Some predictions

Top 5

Of course False Creek Mixed

then

Scotiabank Dragons
Eye of the Dragon
Swordfish
Concord Pacific Flying Dragons

Although I can never keep track of Synergy teams, and there's several others I don't know.

you're forgetting DWW.  they seem to be training fairly hard these days as well.

As for synergy, the names of the boats have changed but its pretty much a fusion of the old boats into certain boats and new paddlers.

And is this the DWW a team or b team? I believe there are two teams for this year's alcan, but only one for this regatta ( Edgewater Casino's DWW & DWW Ultimate )

my rusty crystal ball, which i got in a $2 coin game at the mall sez

fcrcc (aren't there 2 boats this weekend?)
eye of the dragon
dww b (doubt it's a real b team, probably whoever's available to race)
swordfish, haven't seen the fishies this year, but i assume they will do the job nicely
drunks
than maybe concord, scotia, ready jet go in any order.

i'm drawing a blank on cibc, who are they? i think i remember a couple of cibc teams a few years ago when one of them was the fcrcc team, and the other a rec team
