Do you fellow paddlers have any suggestions on paddle bags? price range around $20? So far, I've seen the Burnwater DB paddle bag, and some T8 bags. are there any more out there?? thanx

U8, this topic was previously posted a while back, not sure if this will help you out at all, but take a look also under Racer's Village - Dragonboat Paddle Bag/Backpack.

A local paddler makes very decent bags for approx your price range.  You can view the website at:

here is another one in abbotsford:

i bought this one earlier this year.  cheap nylon paddle bag for $30 CAD (tax included).  my thoughts?  it sucks... crappy material, no padding (for those who travel to race) zero protection, cheap shoulder strap and worse of all the design layout positioned the velcro in a way that it sticks to everything.

the burnwater bag is average.  again not a bad price for a paddle bag.  it has good design, nice shoulder straps, and a decent amount of zipper compartments.  however it is made out of PVC polyurethane and is not well padded so don't expect too much for protection.

i highly recommend getting a good bag for the long run.  although expensive, the typhoon 8 bags are really well designed with lots of zipper compartments and a comfy shoulder strap.  best of all it's nicely padded and made of heavy duty nylon and can take a beating.
