Howdy y'all!
Still In SF today and will be posting pictures tonight when I get home.
Thanks to Wayner and the team for letting my flu ridden body paddle with them this weekend, if I knew I would have to paddle that hard I would have let Puppy take my place! Another great day of racing and some very stiff competition. Its nice to break the Canadian curse (and boy did we ever!) I paddled on the DWW2 team (luckily my my Time trial was good enuff.. Laughing) and with our 11 guy 9 women crew, managed to eek out the DW1 by .16 for third! Jetstart was stacked as well so the canucks came gunning for Bear! Good to see Extreme reach and the sistership team from Calgary there as well. There was another german team as well but I did not catch any of their races as I spent most of my free time sitting and sucking cough drops...
I am sure Next year the SF area teams will be looking to regain their title(s) back!  Shocked
I'll post a few pics later and have a link to the others on my photobucket site as well
AND YES Paddleboy, Guido can have his cake and EAT it too (albeit through his forehead.....)

Thanks for hosting us BAD as you always go out of your way to make us feel as home!

uhm, yeah

anyways

I brought my gear out for this one, though i didn't really find much time to take shots.  managed to get a few of some good races, but my piddling 200mm is no match for the twin monsters that mister lethal brought with him, so hopefully we'll see some of those uber close ups soon!

in the mean time, all my race shots can be found here:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/michaelfox/sets/72157594301425518/

here's a sampling

Thanks Right Arm!
I was kinda busy racing as well (cough cough!) and I had "numerous" assistants attempt to take pics for me..
Some were good while  others should stop drinking so much Coffee (slight misfunction with one of the lens when someone inadvertantly turned the Image stabilization off....) ANYWAYS.....here are a few that kind of turned out

DWW1  margin of Victory

Open water in race 1

DWW2 had to fight for their wins

Grr.... there was no Masters final.

Still bent out of shape at getting bronze while winning with open water.

Yeah, those suckers get heavy after a while!
No CDs for San fran as the quality of the pics was not as good as I like them to be
I had lots of help from paddlers not racing taking pics and while they did a great job I like my CDs or DVDs to have me being the Man!
Email me and I'll make you a one off of the pics I have. They are mostly DWW1  and DWW2 shots but there are a few other teams as well
I may make a compilation DVD of all the races I was at this year......1024 x 768 pics of Alcan, Lotus, Harrison, Nanaimo, Victoria, Kelowna, Some Taiwanese and a few other regattas I was at. not sure when this will happen but if I get bored one day I'll let everyone know. Great to review and reliive an awesome year of racing! Email me at [email protected] if interested. Thanks!
