Hi Ken,

Somehow, I don't think those are the right dates for the San Francisco races this year. Unless I'm mistaken, the 24th and 25th of September are a Sunday and Monday, respectively.

Will Dieselfish be attending this year? It was a great final last year.

For those teams that are still in the budgeting for the season, this is one race that I highly recommend taking the time to attend. The organization of the festival is top-notch where they have negotiate great rates at the Parc55 hotel for out of town teams with shuttle service to and from the race site. If you're looking for a large amount of races in a day, this is the festival to be (albeit a bit too many for some teams). This is also a great festival if you are looking for the vacation since there's a lot of things happening in and around the city.

As with many festivals, there is an issue with the varying quality and age of the boats they use; with the newest boats provided to the center lanes and the older ones to the outside lanes. But in general, great festival overall.

As a long time supporter of the CDBA it is nice to hear that the work of a purely volunteer organization is viewed favorably.  i have been part of the race organization team for 7 years in a row and let me tell ya, we love it even though it nearly kills us. 

DieselFish will be there always - we wouldn't miss it!  so far we have had a few consecutive appearances in the finals and hope to be there again in 2006.

do the canadians think they can break that jinx this year?  subaru made a stoic attempt in 2005.  it isn't meant to be trash talk, i just like to bring it up a lot.  we are proud of our local teams!

We may have not been the greatest of contenders at SF in 2005 but out team (St'Keya) had an awesome time!  Well run festival at a nice venue and the hotel and bus arrangements were great.  SF was also well worth spending the extra few days we took to look around and find some awesome restaurants.

Also, the concept of a host team for out-of-towners was tremendous!  We could not have been happier (well, OK, if we had actually won something we might have been happier).
