Methodology & FAQ
So how are these standings calculated now?
Teams are ranked according to points earned from placing 1-10 in qualified races.
The point scale goes from 32 for first place to 2 pts for tenth.

Teams can earn points in up to 5 regattas. If a team scores points in 6 or more regattas, the lowest point scoring results are discarded.

Why another one?
Since it's being done in the East... I thought we should have one for the west. Also, it's been a slow day.

How come Team A, Team B and Team C are still ahead of us in the grand prix standings?

The Grand Prix standings are based on points collected at dragon boat regattas and festivals. Points are only awarded to top 10 placements. So for teams to advance in the standings they will need to enter races and come in the top 10.

Changes
Sept 14/2005 - multiplier factor removed.
