Now where can one find a full list of the teams racing in the regatta?

Team Storm not attending? I would have thought they would be at the same level as Team Ruckus.

I think FODB should be ranked first.   Why?

Let's consider that thus far, for the past 3 months, the boat has only been comprised of 50-75% of its full contingent.   Albeit a consistent bunch, it is interesting to see that when challenged (at the Semiahmoo Bay Regatta), FODB ended up 4th; trailing ROLI by approximately 1 second.

Yes, FODB was still beaten.. but they were beaten by teams who practice throughout the year and carry a fully focused group of competitive paddlers.

Surely we all have to sit back and ponder that success goes just beyond one's "guess" as to who should just be "#1".

Let's not forget JDA... that team of very young adults/waning teenagers.   What about their performance?   Has anyone thought to wonder that this team has potential and should have a place in this "methodical" means of rankings?

Why can't we look beyond just what we see on the water and analyze something real, rather than.. "Team A is #1 because they look fast".. or "Team B should be #1 because they posted the fastest time"?

All these "predictions".. yet most of the time, they're all wrong.

to all those who read these predictions, remember they are not the thoughts of the team itself, but the individual....

with that said...zeph.... Smak upside the head

as for the predictions...i'd have to agree with most of guido's rankings, moving a couple of teams up and down though, but i'll keep my thoughts to myself just like paddleboy   Whistle  Whistle  Whistle

FODB beat FCRCC and Pac Reach at the regatta?... hmmm... nope don't think so Zeph, good on ya though for really believing in your team.

Let's all remember that White Rock was a mere 250m course and as we know alot of teams start to drop off at that point where as the strong conditioned ones press on.  It will be exciting to watch this weekends final where most likely an improved Pac Reach will face up against the always solid FCRCC, and don't forget about Subaru that hasn't been seen yet this year.

Secret, if you haven't gotten used to zeph's postings by now and seen any past ones, he doesn't believe in these pre-rankings threads....i'm glad that he has faith in us beating FCRCC or PR, but i'd be happy to be within 1 boat length of them   Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing

now getting back on topic.....i'm really interested in seeing how the new revamped subaru team looks like.  as they are "borrowing" our captain, our team will be gunning for them in any race...as well, i wonder if RGL United will be living up to their name   Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy

I saw Subaru do a race piece last night.  Blew Team Storm out of the water and Subaru was in a Gemini and Team Storm was in a 6/16 (and not a slow one at that).  So look out for Legacy.

1 FCRCC Mixed
2 Pacific Reach
3 Specialty Subaru Legacy
4 Roli Canada 1
5 Fresh Off the Dragon Boat
6 FCW
7 FC Grandragons
8 Alpha Red
9 Team Rukus

If the women bring out their top team then they should beat the Grandragons this time, if not then Grandragons will win over FCW. Alpha Red and Rukus will be somewhere up there.  In the end anyone's guess for 6 through 9.
