Can someone who was there fill the rest of us in on what was said at the meeting?

I've heard that the docks and Racer's Village will be moved to the north side of False Creek.

- Docks maybe moved to the North side of Science World, but that is still yet to be determined.  In any case, there are going to be more docks, as they are being built right now

- Racer's Village will be on the North shore of False Creek.  With the departure of Indy, that area is now accessible.  Should the dock be moved to the North side, then the teams will be closer to the docks.  If not, well, then everyone will be far from the dock, just like the old days!

- Beer gardens I believe are in the same place, which is closer to Racer's Village

- PA system will be improved (hopefully)

- Going back to Dragon Bucks this year

- Chilliwack will be replacing Spirit of the West for Friday's concert

- Each team manager will be given TWO parking passes - which will be made harder to duplicate, apparently

That's all I can remember - tune in this Sunday at 9pm on Showcase for Season 5 of me and the Boys of Sunnyvale Trailer Park!

So nothing as usual......shove the paddlers that make this event in the back.....and make them run through the festival to their docks.....smart isn't it?

What the hell are we paying all this money for to be shoved in the back corner?

Sorry for venting.....but this really burns me up......the only festival and race venue I always go to that makes the paddlers 2nd to everything else.

Well said Guido... I can't believe I'm agreeing with you  Rolling Eyes .  True enought that it's called the Alcan Dragon Boat Festival, we as paddlers should take center stage.

B.T.W Guido I do know I spelled my name wrong, must of had a blonde moment, but hell if I can figure out how to correct it.
