Last Sunday (20th) morning at 9.45am i parked behind the green portable at Dragon Zone along with a lot of other cars. When i got back, all the cars including mine had a ticket.  Evil or Very Mad  I looked around and couldnt find any no parking signs, or ticket dispenser machines. It looked like an empty lot. I'm going to dispute it.
Did anybody else park there or know why all those cars got ticketed?

I agree that there should have been a clear sign at the site of the place that they didn't want us to park, NOT inside the portable on a scrunched up napkin taped onto the water bowl.

Crying or Very sad

C'mon now.  Crying or Very sad This has nothing to with DZ. Crying or Very sad  Someone did you a service putting up a notice inside the shack where DBers would see it.

There was at least one sign, posted by Science World, out in the parking lot. I saw it, as did others, and parked a little further away to avoid a ticket.  Shocked

I never said this had anything to do with DZ, i just referred to it to describe the location. And do you really think one sign by science world, and another on the water bowl is sufficient notice? I'm sure some people saw it, but that doesnt really help the 20+ cars that didnt...

If you really really want to know the truth..... no one is actually permitted to park on there at all.

In fact....one of our municipal city employees pointed out the fact that when cars are parking in that area and the area to the west of the loading ramp..the vehicles are crossing the pedistrian seawall....which is dangerous.  He was going to have all those spots marked illegal to park there.....

And there you have it.

next thing you know, the mcdonalds parking lot is going to filled up, with a very old coke cup in the cup holder to show that we are mcdonalds customers. 8)

Stop crying. Crying or Very sad  Do you need someone to hold your hand? DZ is not responsible for telling you where to park - why would you complain that someone put a notice in there?

What size would you want future signs to be? What are your specs for future signs?

Maybe someone should walk you to your car after practice so nothing happens to you?

Do you think the minimum wage parking flunkies are going to care (or check out) that someone with a car is morally correct for parking in the same lot others are forced to pay for?

You're probably stilll living at home, aren't you? Rolling Eyes

Go whine to Science World about parking.

Guido is right - nobody is meant to be parking where we were. It is unfortunate that it is over, but we had a good ride.[/quote]

Guido, thanks for the info, I had no idea. And I'm sure a lot of people didn't either till now. I think eventually marking those spots are a good idea, to avoid any future incidences.

Tex Messenger, he's not complaining. He just wanted questions to his answers. Thank you for your interest in helping, but please don't ridicule members of this forum like that.

tex messanger, I don't know who you are, but why are you being so inconsiderate? I'm damn sure you would be choked if you got a ticket. None of your replies are beneficial to this case whatsoever.  And what does having to live at home got to do with who Sterling is? Do you have nothing better to do that you have to spend your time trashing other people?  Just keep your mouth shut for the sake of others.

Thanks for the heads up Guido. Did the municipal employee tell you when that area will be marked illegal to park?

Haha dude, you sound more bitter than i do about this. And if you bothered to read carefully, i never complained about someone putting up a sign in the shack, and i never said DZ was responsible for anything. I do appreciate whoever posted up the sign in shack however, but too bad i didnt notice it til after. Sorry if I offended you in any way. I just wanted an answer to why i got a ticket and after i found out why, i thought it was pretty sleazy for impark to impose tickets on a lot that has insufficient signage and that is generally hassle free.
And btw, i live on my own but that’s totally irrelevant. Why are you so bitter? If you don’t have anything helpful to say, id appreciate if you stop wasting our time and posting your crude remarks. Thanks

FYI - Science World has posted large blue signs at both entrances to the parking lots behind DZ advising people it's pay parking only until the 29th for Science World overflow ...  I didn't see them at first either, but I wasn't paying attention to the signs either  Rolling Eyes

WTF are talking about Tex? He didn't say $&*@ about DZ responsibility or signs.  He's just asking about why he got ticketed.  He's not whining or anything.  I dunno why the hell you start bitching into personal attacks???

First of all, I don't know why everyone is all so nasty to each other.  I rode in on my go-kart, and through my thickarse glasses I saw the signs!  It's a good thing go-karts don't have windshields.

So while all of you ham n' eggers scramble around for a parking spot along the trees, watch out for my kitties, or I'll have to get mad frisky!

Tex Messenger, you sound mean! Evil or Very Mad
I wish people would stop using the the forums to complain and blame others.  : Mad
They need to grow up a bit, but your comments are really nasty and not needed. Mad
I hope you'll be nicer in future.

Bubbles - watch out for bunnies in the parking lot too! Wink
