Hey photog! I'm the web guy for synergydb.com. FIrst of all, i'd like to thank you for the photos you've taken. they look really awesome. I'd like to include all of your synergy/yellow sub related photos from the taiwanese and kelowna festival on a Photo DVD that I am making. Can i get your permission to do so? if possible, do you have high rez equivalents to them? thanks.

hmm ...........whats with no photo finish posted yet on the Kelowna site ? Photos are now up: http://www.kelownadragonboatfestival.com/results/index.shtmlAnd they're really & truly ON the finish line, too ... literally ... so if your boat wasn't the winner (or awful darn close behind, say within 2 secs!), you won't be visible. They seem to be stills from a video recorder, so are quite grainy - don't expect something you'll want to make a team poster of! A couple of the stills are quite dark (Sun glare off the water fooling the camera's exposure setting). Especially the Plat A Final - looking at that one, it's pretty easy to see why it took so long to decide who won, & who placed where!! But I think it's a great, great idea to post these on the Kel web site. Other regattas also use video recorders to help decide placings - e.g., Alcan - and even sell prints of the stills. But I've never seen anyone make them freely available on their web site. A big Alpha Dragons HOO RAH goes to the folks running the Kel regatta for doing this!

Looks like a photo to me. Did you see something I didn't? Was there an alien ship somewhere in there, I can't see it through the glare, maybe you saw it paddleboy
I would agree with a previous poster with the glare from the sun that is why they must have taken so long to get accurate finish results.

I heard the power went off at finish line so maybe they forgot to plug the lights back in as well.
Come to think of it....now that you mention it Tiger...I did see something similar to an alien ship.
They must have been pulling their hairs out...some I heard didn't have any to begin with....at finish to get the results. Kudos to them with such inadequate equipment. They should get better sponsors for technical equipment.
