The United Chinese Association of Florida (UCAF) presents first Florida’s long distance Marathon Dragon Boat Challenge on August 14, 2004 (Saturday).

The UCAF has designed the routes as well as the race distance as a new challenge for the dragon boat paddlers.

Distance-wise, this is the longest Dragon Boat Race in North America and the third longest in the world!

Participants will paddle dragon boats for 32 kilometers down the Intracoastal Waterway from Fort Lauderdale to Dania, Hallandale, Hollywood, Sunny Isles and Miami Beach.
