Since I'm on a roll of taking threads from the East Coast Forum today... here's another one.
Looking back as far as memory serves, what teams have made a name for themselves as a dominant force in Dragon Boating?
First teams to come to mind would be... Team Aspirations from the early/mid 90's... and TD Thunder from the early '00's.
Even though FCRCC Women's are still around I believe that their history warrants mention as well.

Maybe not competitively dominant, but I think the False Creek Granddragons deserve a mention here. Their helpfulness, comraderie, and good sportmanship really show us what dragonboating is all about.
Many of the newer younger teams might not see them as a really competitive contender, but find themselves bewildered at the end of a race when the Granddragons blow right past them at the finish line...proving that age is irrelevent when it comes to this sport.

Along with Aspirations, all-time best teams list should include:
FCRCC mixed
CIBC Life's a Dragon
Mackenzie
Lotus
Recent addition - Gorging Dragons
The mid-90's FCRCC women's team should be there, since they could compete with / beat a few of the teams listed above...
