Hey everyone the time is near for the ATI Dragon Boat Festival in support of the United Way of York Region on Saturday August 28th, 2004 from 8:00 am (registration) until about 5 pm at King Campus of Seneca College in King City (13990 Dufferin Street, just north of Bloomington Sideroad). The competition will take place on the beautiful King Campus which is situated on the stunning and provincially significant Oakridges Moraine. The campus boasts 700 acres of forest, open fields and 2 glacially formed Kettle Lakes! The race will be held on a Kettle Lake - all lanes will be totally equal. There will be lots of activities for the entire family and we will be throwing a celebration party at the end of the day. We are using Great White North to run the race with their World Championship boats.
All of the proceeds from the race will go to the United Way of York Region to assist the 127 programs and 41 social service agencies who touch the lives of over 270,000 people in York Region.
