The DZ:TWISTED HIPS are going to the SEATTLE DB Festival, but we need some more paddlers.  Male or female, rights or lefts.  Experience preferred.

Not familiar with the HIPS??  That's ok.  Were a mixed, local team based out of Dragonzone(Creekside).  For 6 years we've been working hard & grinding our way up the rankings.  We range in age from early 20's to late 30's.  Were super friendly(low drama) and just love to paddle hard.  Join us for a festival to see what were like.   Very Happy

I can be reached at [email protected]

2014 achievements: DZ:500M REGATTA - GOLD, 'C' Division

NANAIMO                - Ranked up to Platinum Division

When is the Seattle festival and is it a one or two day deal?  Several goblins this year want to travel more, would love to bring it up with them. See if they can go

It is a fun festival, although Nanaimo seems to be way up there on fun and RTADBF (Vancouver) seems to be a lot of free stuff. No paddlers village, free parking if you arrive early but a very nice venue at South Lake Union Park. A number of paddlers stay the Saturday night and experience the night life there. Just as an added bonus, Washington state is now 4-20 friendly (with lots of restrictions, of course).

For those from Vancouver Island not driving, the latest sailing is Friday at 6:45pm that arrives at 9:30pm downtown Seattle. From a downtown hotel, it is a 7 minute cab ride, 25 minute bus ride or a 30 minute walk.

And DZ Twisted Hips is quite the social team.

Thanks for posting to my forum post.  We've heard good things about this festival & it'll be our 1st time attending as well.

DesertPike:  Please email me at [email protected] if your still interested.  We could still use some paddlers.  Please let me know.
