I've had my share of sampling many different kinds of paddles and I've read several forums and reviews but they were made years ago. I want to hear something more updated of what you guys think. suggestions anyone?

Burnwater Reactor II.

Stiff, smooth finish, oval grip, 1 piece, light enough, heavy enough, and has a perfect balance of weight throughout the whole paddle. I can balance the paddle on my finger right at the junction between the shaft and blade.
Durable: I've seen many different brands of paddles break, but I've never seen a broken Burnwater paddle. If anything, the t-grip becomes loose, but doesn't snap in half like other brands.

Different strokes for different folks, though, and I'm not sure if anyone can really establish a perfect rating system for paddles.

On the whole, I think Burnwaters are awesome.... I don't personally use them though, as the stiffness of the 1 piece construction gives me aches in my shoulders under sustained use.  (I'm a Kialoa Hybrid user).

On the never break note though: I've personally seen 3 break.  Two where the handle came off, 1 at the shaft.  That said, in all 3 cases, Aaron was super quick and friendly about replacing them post haste.  The man stands by his work, and that's an admirable trait for sure.
