We are putting a team together to go to the Kaiser Permanente San Francisco International Dragonboat festival in September. We have already registered as "GRPC Empire" and would love to have paddlers from Victoria come on board. There is room for a few more paddlers and the positions for drummer and stern can be taken as well.

We are only accepting experienced paddlers, as we will not have time to coach newbies.  We're taking names on a first come, first serve basis. If you are unsure if you can go yet, look into it and get back to us as soon as possible. We don't want to tie up seats for people who back out later. The plan is to have a couple practices before leaving right after the Navy Chicken run when most teams will be calling and end to their season.

It takes place between September 17th to 18th and will be a fantastic time.

Still a couple spots available. If anyone from Nanaimo or other local clubs would like to come along they are welcome to join as well.

Roster is filling up nicely. But our regular drummer would much rather paddle for this race. If you are a drummer or know of one that would like to join us for SanFran that would be great.

We would only need someone for the mixed and visitor races, they should be able to paddle for the gender and any other races we have time for.

Its goint to be the time of your life!

Great choice in a festival! San Fran. is well run and extremely fun.. you won't regret your decision in going down! Best of luck in filling in those final spots.

Ditto....I think SF hosts one of the best DB festivals on the west coast...I'd highly recommend all db teams go down there at least once....very organized and friendly festival.
