Is it already time to put down bets? I'm betting on TBD, that team's going to dominate the entire thing!

No kidding!

Well kinda hard to make predictions with all those TBD's.....   lol

Based on the names you can actually see.... I think Phat Phish will come in 1st .. (I suppose after team TBD and or TBD 2, TBD 3, TBD 4, TBD 5....)

But then again... there is also Pemberton Baldies/ Laoyam Eagles, Edmonton River Rats.......and of course Eye...
hmmmmm

It says "Canadian Nationals" on the front...

I'm assuming the draft version posted earlier is the one they'll keep for the festival.

Hi to all our fellow Whistler and Canadian Nationals participants,

I'm one of the coaches of the Eric Hamber Junior team, the team that many of you helped out this weekend by giving rides to and fro from Whistler Village and Alta Lake. It was our first experience paddling in the Nationals, and as we'd taken the Greyhound up, we only had the one small car belonging to our teacher sponsor, and had to make over 10 round trips the first morning to get us all on site in time to race.

Luckily, the paddling community responded amazingly to our pleas for aid, and we were able to transport all our kids safely home. Especially this Sunday afternoon, when we put out a request for rides back to after the final 2000m races, we had a huge number of people offering to help out, and we managed to make it to the Greyhound stop in time to catch our bus and make it home on time, something that we'd been doubting that we could pull off. You were all very kind to our kids and the rest of us, and we want to send out a sincere thanks to you all for showing the kids just what an amazing group the dragon boat community as a whole truly is.

Particular thanks going out to:

Sisters in Sync
FCRCC Womens'
FCRCC Magnum
Bridge City
TD Lightning (Tom in particular for providing us with access to the Brittannia Youth Programs 21 seat BUS, and Melissa our lovely driver)
Sudden Impact
FCRCC Grandragons
Rowbust

for generously providing us with rides, and thank you to everybody else who offered and was concerned about making sure we all got home safe.

Thank you all very much again, and happy paddling! We certainly owe you all one.  Very Happy
Cheers,
Angela E, on behalf of the Hamber coaching team and all the kids
