Heya folks,

I'm a female (25) paddler who is looking for a recreational team that practices out of Richmond (the UBC boathouse) once or twice a week. Generally just looking to get back on the water, work on technique and have some fun.

It's probably a long shot... but are there any Richmond teams that are still looking for female paddlers?

If you can't find a team in Richmond, then I suggest looking into Dragon Hearts Breaker:

The team practices Wednesdays each week at Dragon Zone, near Scienceworld. They also hold optional practices on Mondays.

The Dragon Hearts club is very well-established (close to 15 years old) and very fun. We have five teams competing in Alcan this year. We do hold events that are open to the whole club. Also, each team is very sociable.
