We are a mixed comp team based out of Vancouver (FCRCC) and we're looking for male / female paddlers to join our team in 2010.
We welcome paddlers who are interested in taking him/herself into the next level.
Good commitment level to training is required.
Once our season is underway, our practices will be 3 times a week ranging from Dragon Boats, OC6 and OC1.
2009 saw Dragon Hearts Magnum participating in 8 Regattas / Festivals (such as Alcan, Kelowna, SF, etc) and consistently winning 2nd overall in almost every event. We also won 2nd place in the Water's Edge Race Series. That's a lot of Silver medals!
Our goal for 2010 is to be in the Top 3 at Alcan (4th in 2009) and winning 1st overall in general (GOLD!
). The races that will be our main focus will be the Canadian National Championships in Whistler, Alcan, and either San Francisco / Montreal. We will also be participating in other local races (Deep Cove, Kelowna, etc)
A point to note is that we have awesome coaches that drives us to work harder every practice. With that said, We race for the challenge and fun is the byproduct of our hard work.
