who's going to be in portland on the 12th and 13th for the races on the scenic, polluted willamette river?
this is the sundragons home course (along with wasabi).
the race consists of both 250m (about 1 min) and 500m (2-2.5 mins) pieces along the dock on the waterfront.
see you there and paddle hard.

Hope everyone had a great time this past weekend in Portland! I hope to get the results so I can post them to the race website soon. I will also be sending along a link to a survey soon... great place to give feedback where you are sure that the race organizers will see it.

Hi Kristin,

I was wondering abt the finals in the afternoon, was there alot of tailwind and/or tide?
I ask because I'm seeing alot of sub 2 min times for many of the consolation heats and unbelievable times from the final heats..

I believe the course is a "short" 500 based on past years start and finish line.

Actually, there was quite a bit of of tail wind on Sunday, especially after lunch. It even rained for about 15 minutes in there. And then, as if the racing gods knew that there were A division finals coming up, it all stopped and the sun came out. The wind was practically even gone, for the last two races of the afternoon.
