Hi guys,

We're taking a mixed crew (GRPC United) from Victoria to Portland for Sep 12-13 and have a couple more seats available.  So far the crew is a mix of Paddlers of the Fifth Moon, Dog Paddlers, Precision Impossible (PI), and Brew Crew, my preference is to take paddlers from the Victoria area as it's easiest for carpooling but if you can make it to Victoria to travel from there (or travel by yourself from whereever) then that's great.

As with our usual throw-together crews the aim is to get a solid group of paddlers together that work hard on the water but are fun to be around, no attitudes or egos!  Just a no pressure festival where you can race for the sake of racing.  In case we qualify for the "Race around the Bridges" race, reasonable endurance is a plus!

At the moment I'm steering but will gladly give up that spot to a steersperson interested in joining us.  The water in Portland is pretty wild so good balance is a must!  Smile

Hotel is already booked so we can sort out a room for you.  You'll likely need the 11th and 14th off work for travel but if you fly you may not.

We'll likely get a few practices in after the Victoria festival on Thursdays from 7-8:30pm, to be determined.

If you're interested or would like more info then shoot me an e-mail at [email protected].

Thanks,
Katy

I should mention, your share of festival fees is $33 then your share of transportation and accommodation, it's really not too expensive for a weekend in Portland.  Unless you plan to take advantage of the tax-free shopping!
