I had to leave early Sad
I heard the wind picked up on the Sunday afternoon races jeopardising the mixed final races. What so happened?

The races after the Breast Cancer Survivors and the Bronze B finals were cancelled due to high winds and choppy waters.

Just meant more time in the beer gardens! Cheers

Placements were calculated based on cumulative time for the first 3 races for those that didn't get to race their final race.

Nice shots Backward.

Does anyone know where Saturday's times are posted? The link in an earlier response only gave the Sunday results. <---found it.

Thanks!

Congratulations to all the teams in this years festival in Nanaimo. I heard it was another successful event, with good times had by all. I was fortunate enough to catch the Carnation Ceremony and make a quick stop in the beer gardens for a beverage. (what a party!!!!! Razz) ...... Had the makings of a great beer commercial. Laughing Cheers 'til next year!!

AAAhhh
Great Weather on Saturday and nice sailing weather on Sunday  Mad
Either way Nanaimo Lived up to its reputation as kick butt Regatta with good racing and a mediocre beer garder....(I kid, I kid!  Laughing)
Of course as a professional Courtesy I do not bring my camera into the beer garden (and what tales it would tell....) but I saw a lot of mini waterproof ones (the only kind to bring!) that were busy....
(maybe telephoto from a top of a grassy knoll would work..... Razz)
Either way here are some pics I or my lovely assistant MK took of the racing and festivities

Thay have GREAT Volunteers at Nanaimo and never get enough credit!

Damn Kids...have to watch them in the next few years...

And finally this pic pretty much sums up the beer garden
The crazy ladies of Puppy Love Aka Mana Wahines say it all....

I sense a beer commercial coming up!
