While traveling recently, something I came across got my thinking about dragonboat and what some of the coolest venues for dboating might be... thoughts?

Here's the moment that preceeded that thought:



The Grand Canal in Venice.  I would imagine dodging all the boat traffic would keep the steers well occupied, but what a cool place to practice!

how about the Mekong river... boat traffic and residents washing fruits and vaggies (typo but i'm keeping it) on the side AND the quality of water is like false creek, feels just like home!

I just came back from Venice....
Very nice but too mant crazy boaters there
 but on the plus side we could make a lot of money carrying Tourists in the DB at $85 Euro per..... Laughing

lol, cool shot.

Perhaps the team bonding event prior to docking and heading home would be a detour through the veggies/fruits market on the water, shopping for ingredients for breakfast haha

We decided to combine our venue with our boat and started fundraising ...

Our first plan was pretty ambitious ... seats 800 paddlers.


Due to budget, we lost the large head ... two heads better than one!?


We then had to reduce that back down to one so the steers could see ... like that would help.


Then we had to go from three stories to one ... thanks strata council!


In the end, this is all we could afford ... Venice.
