We're a Vancouver-based mixed semi-competitive team seeking male and female paddlers for the 2009 season.  Previous paddling experience a plus, but not a requirement.  Emphasis will be on technique and team building.  Commitment to training and a good team attitude are essential.  Our goal is to race in a semi-competitive environment, but still have fun along the way.

We plan on practicing 2x per week in dragon boats and optional 1x per week OC1 / OC6 supplemental training for those who want to train a bit more.  The practice facility is FCRCC at Granville Island.  Races on the schedule are Alcan regatta and Alcan.  We're also considering out of town races since they're always enjoyable for the team.

If you're looking for a fun, semi-competitive team and a friendly group of people to paddle with, we may be the team for you!

PM for more information.  Or email me here.

Thanks

Bumping the post.  We're looking to add more male paddlers to the roster now.

Hey steamRoller.  Thanks for bumping my post.

We're consistently getting good turnout for practices.  We have an experienced caller, steersperson, and coach, and a crew of committed paddlers who love to get out on the water to paddle.  We'd like to add a bit more depth to the team and have room for 2 male paddlers to fill out the roster.   Prior kayaking, paddling, or rowing experience a plus, but definitely not a requirement to join us.

FCRCC at Granville Island is a great practice facility.  There are hot showers, sauna, change rooms, small boats for additional training, television to watch for when you arrive early, and lots of free parking during our practice times.

Interested paddlers are more than welcome to come out to try 1 or 2 practices.

Yes.  Practices are still the same day and same time slot.

Tuesdays 7:30PM (meet at 7:00PM)
