Speaking of pics have you guys and gals seen the final results page at the festival's website? Check out the photo finish of heat #77. First and second were only .02 of a second apart. You guys be the judge but I think the B final was the final to watch! LOL Just kidding of course. Click here and scroll to second to last photo and see for yourself: http://kdbf.ca/results/2008/mixed2/index.shtml

Teamwork is so important that it is virtually impossible for the team to reach the heights of it's capabilities or achieve winning results without becoming very good at it. You must practice TEAMWORK as a team, not as individuals!

That women's Platinum A final was INTENSE! But we all knew it would be close...how close was the question! Good on Fire on Water for the win! It looks like we're all one race each...Nanaimo=Mana Wahine, Vernon=Extreme Curves, Kelowna=Fire on Water. Should be interesting next year!!
We were happy to see Fire on Water win at home this year! Yay!

Here is a lovely video from the Platinum B final that of course the winning team posted on youtube:
Good way for that team to end their season no doubt. Congrats should be in order for them.

I have to echo that Lanskie.... some awesome racing in the women's division this year. So great to see the level of competition increase this season and to receive the support from the mixed teams cheering from the shore. It was a great final race and we were so proud of FOW for taking the win. Don't forget those great "Dragon Ladies" who took a gold medal in Harrison this year. Look forward to more great competition next season! And......CONGRATS NAVY......
