I know this forum is for the 'west coast', but my sister who lives in Toronto wants to join a team (total newb) and I was just wondering if anyone knows of any teams out there that she can look into?

Be warned they can get a bit nasty on this site but someone should respond to your question.

A good club out east is the Outer Harbour Paddling Club http://www.ohdbc.ca/OHDBC/Welcome.html . I'm sure they also have a novice program. This would be the equivilant to FCRCC (False Creek).
