Looking at the results from the super sprints and RTA it's hard to say what might happen here. This is probably Platinum.

Navy is iffy for second...depends on who is and who is not on active duty. I think Save On could be a lot higher up. They won the Paddle Fest.

Does the late entry causing a change in the race grid change any predictions?

Teamwork is so important that it is virtually impossible for the team to reach the heights of it's capabilities or achieve winning results without becoming very good at it. You must practice TEAMWORK as a team, not as individuals!

Thanks for the vote of confidence Martini!!! Yea, bad timing for an injury to be sure... I hope to be back paddling for the Island Championships (and Victoria). We'll see... for now I can steer if needed and most importantly I can still lift a beer!!!;-)
Cheers, J

The predictions were close but no cigar. There was a dark horse or two in the running for Platinum this year. Comox Valley Dragonflies and the Dog Paddlers out of the Gorge. I don't see any results posted so this is how it played out in the Platinum B final-Dog Padllers (2:11.66) PI (2:11.82) Eye (2:12.37) Dragonflies (2:23.04) Platinum A Final - Navy (2:07.37) Xtreme (2:09.18) Portland Fire Dragons (2:10.63) Dragonslayers (2:16.45). One of the paddlers on the Dragonslayers ripped the blade off of the shaft of his carbonfiber paddle within 4 strokes of the start of the race which may explain why they weren't close in the finish because they had good results every race this weekend.

Another great Festival. Thanks to all. The tide change, low tide, wind and current caught out some steers. Poor start in the the Gold A. A few gentle and not so gentle meetings of the boats on some of the later races. I want the salmon burger guy back next year!
