Today is the start of the Arizona paddling clinic! It looks like we are going to get some gorgeous weather this week! From what I see, there is representation from the Calgary Race Club, Mana Wahines, Navy Dragon Anchors, Bastion Dragons, Wasabi, and Blu By U. Looking forward to meeting all the participants and coaching staff tonight. Until then, we might catch a ball game or do some outlet shopping!  Very Happy

Looking forward to getting out on the water in the warm weather!  Cool

Another great clinic by Water's Edge again! Great to see all the familiar faces and new ones, too! There are two crews here from Edmonton. Lots of paddling and lots of personal instruction by great coaches. We were video taped today and will review tomorrow (UGH!). The weather has been fabulous! Sounds like there will be a number of crews coming in for the festival, too. I only hope that I have enough energy left to paddle!!  Laughing

As mentioned above the weather here has been awesome.  There are some definite sunburns being developed.

The most notable is PUPPY's  He got soooo burnt that he is now wearing a full jacket with hood when ever he is in the sun.  We have changed his nickname from Puppy to La Chien Rouge.

Looking forward to the festival this weekend.

Nice racing by the CRC crew today! The fastest times of the day! They kicked our butt!

By the way...I keep forgetting to ask. Where's the beer bong?

They wouldn't let us accross the border with it.

Great racing by the Waters Edge teams.

Waters Edge RattleSnakes (Blu By U and friends) took Bronze in the B division  I really think they got 2nd.

Waters Edge Scorpions (CRC and friends) took Bronze in A division.  I really think we got 2nd as well.  Lost to LARD and San Diego.

Not bad for teams that were put together after the Waters Edge camp.   And some of us havn't seen the water since Oct and won't again until May.

Gotta Love it.

Congratulations to the two Canadian Teams that came together and raced as one! It's was an amazing moment, when other teams would ask who we were. We just told them that most of these paddlers have not been on the water until last week and that we are from all different parts of Canada. In addition, what really confused everyone was that they couldn't believe that we only practiced together for only 5 days.

See you all again next year in Hot Arizona....

Puppy....thanks for the awesome job you did steering for both teams! We all loved having you on the boat...even though we had to wear sunglasses to reflect the sunburn!  Laughing

Sorry, we missed you in the group picture.
