Opening the floor up to some potential paddlers out there who want to have some fun!
Who are we?
- Bananas of the world, unite!
- 2008 is our 2nd year we paddle for Alcan
- Our team is composed of 19-24 year old post secondary students from UBC, SFU, Langara, Kwantlen, Capilano... and others
- Our average experience level is 1-2 years. More than half the team are completely new to dragonboat.
- We do the Dragonzone regatta and Alcan every year.
- We are already on the water paddling out of Dragonzone at false creek in Vancouver
- Practice times are 5pm on Wednesdays (water practice 6-7:30pm), and 10:30am on Saturdays (water practice 11:30am-1pm)
We are looking for:
- People who are looking to get into the sport of Dragonboat, in a safe and welcome environment. diving in mid-season is not a problem at all.
- People with 1-2 year experience
- Those seeking good exercise, fun, and a challenge!
Are you up for it?
- People looking to get advice on how to take care of yourself outside of sport (eg. stretching, eating techniques etc) because I emphasize on that greatly!
- People who can make at least one practice a week
- Enthusiasm!!!
- Both men and women
