I was just on the GO Rowing and Paddling site and it turns out that the 2008 schedule was just posted and I must say that it looks pretty good!  There are a couple new festivals on the list and I think it will make for an exciting 2008 season!!!

Hello Paddlers!

We hope you are looking forward to another great dragon boat season!  We are emailing to inform you of the upcoming summer and fall dragon boat festivals that we are involved in. Please view the details of the festivals below or online at www.gorowandpaddle.org/events. REGISTRATION PACKAGES FOR MOST EVENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN DECEMBER 2007.

-4TH ANNUAL GORGE SUPER SPRINTS (250M): Sunday, May 25
-NANAIMO PADDLEFEST & PLEDGE DRIVE: June 21
-NANAIMO DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL: July 11-13 (UPDATED)
-RICHMOND DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL: July 19
-VI DRAGON BOAT CHAMPIONSHIPS: August 9
-VICTORIA DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL: August 15-17
-PENTICTON DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL: September 6
-BC SENIORS GAMES (NANAIMO 2007): September 10-13: Dragon Boat Racing date TBA.

Nanaimo Paddlefest has changed its date due to an event conflict at its venue in Nanaimo. 
The new date is Sunday, July 6th, 2008. 

All of the registration dates have been adjusted and the race package as well. 

Early Bird Deadline is now June 13, 2008 and final registration deadline is June 27, 2008.

Great!  Nanaimo paddle fest is NO LONGER in conflict with the June 21/22 Rio Tinto Alcan Dragon Boat Festival.
