Just heard, Vancouver team takes Gold in Mixed, Open and Womens divisions in SF. I definitely think the jinx is dead now, two years in a row a Vancouver takes gold. Maybe the SF teams now think they will never win their event again.

V02Max was also in the Comp B division (4th, 0.35 seconds out of 3rd) ... also I belive ssSteam Heat was right behind them in 5th.
Congrats to all the canadians who represented in SF!
As for the american competitors, I was very impressed with LARD Black who really stepped it up this year, what a great result for them!

Thanx RightArm. I've fixed that oversight and noted the Canuck teams in the Masters Championship in my original post...

Just want to say thanks to all the Jambalya team for hooking up with is CRC folks for the Men's and Womens rides, cuz that was just FUN. Although I think those Dragon Warriors are getting tired of the losses by hundreths of a second. .07 on the Mens and .03 to CRC in the A final to get 5th.
And thanks to Jamalaya and BAD for providing us with drummers all weekend.
Awesome festival (other then the rain on Sat). Great racing and really good to make some new friends with LARD and more with BAD. Great bunch of folks those are. We will see you guys in AZ in March.
I think Jambalaya must have been over their weight limit coming home with all those medals.

To all the Canadian Teams in SF, thank you for making me feel like my family was always around. It was great to see the Canadian teams down there.
For any teams that really want to be treated well and feel that the race organizers care about you, this is an awesome festival to be at. Not only do they bus you from/to the site, they hook you up with a host team and have a complete breakfast for you in the morning. They also work out great deals at the hotel, parking and rental cars. Big screens are not required. Fancy gimicks are not required. Just simply, give the paddlers the attention that they deserve and don't over charge them.
The SF teams are not only competitive but they all stick around to help each other.
The volunteer race is amazing. At the end of the Comp A race, all paddlers switch with other teams and they bring in all volunteers to race in the same boats. It really is an amazing sight, watching COMP A paddlers take it down a notch and give back to the volunteers.....
Anyway, if your team is looking for one out of town festival, please do consider the SF races....you won't regret it....
Puppy is going to bed now....the season is finally over......see you all soon...

YES! YES!!! I'm glad someone else is bringing this up. I've mentioned before what a great way this is to give back to the volunteers. lets see something like it make its way up to alcan. I am confident plenty of paddlers would be more than willing to help out.

Video of the Masters championship race. This is a very organized festival. Competition is good and visiting teams are treated very well.
