This Central Canadian moose adds his thanks.

That's a great deal for a compact GPS, even better with HR.

I'll read the manual when I get it, but does anyone know if the data is download-able?

i have a forerunner 305 and it is invaluable.

i use it for dragon boat coaching, oc1 paddling, cycling and running.  it's not so good for triathlons as it is not truly water proof.

as for the HR readings - it's ok.  some people say that the watch is a bit fussy picking up in HR at times but i have no problems.  my only gripe is that the HR functions are not as robust as the top of the line polar products (but then again, polar doesn't have gps).

now, if they can only make just a tad smaller....

the data is downloadable.  you will have to install the Garmin software (find it on their site somewhere).  i have been told that you can even plot your route on google map using a third party software.  some of the paddlers have been doing this for the OC6 races.  it's awesome to see if you went off course or not.

I just logged onto the Order History Status and mine says "Shipped" with yesterday's date and time.  They also listed a Purolator Waybill number.

I received an email a couple of days ago saying my order was cancelled as Circuit City was not able to obtain more from Garmin.

By the sound of it, looks like the Source might of had only 3 or 4 in stock (considering the purchase glitch started with you on the site - no "add to cart" button at the time).

I've charged it and set it up, seems to be up to par. Haven't had it out on the boat yet. Have to now figure a way to strap it to the ****pit of my Huki.

Good deal, thanks again for the heads up!
