I just attended the "Paddles Up" session today and I really liked it. I don't have any experience but i'm really excited about the possibility of joining a team. Hope I'm not too late!!

For those who don't know what "Paddles Up" is, it's an event that Alcan Dragon Boat manages. Alcan invites anyone to come down to Dragon Zone and learn how to paddle in a Dragon Boat - all for $2/person. Alcan provides a coach, steersperson, and the equipment.

On Sunday, they had about 80+ paddlers at Dragon Zone. Bonny, Jenny, Ray, Gayle, Mark, Anna, Jamie, Xaio, Alex, Nester, Susan, and Carson (sorry, if I forgot any other names) spent their afternoon showing all the newbie's what Dragon Boatting is all about.

At the end of the session yesterday, there was a few people very intersted on joining a team for Alcan Festival. If any teams require paddlers, please contact these egar and enthusastic paddlers (ie: Kimby).....

Thank you to all the volunteers...
