So would this have happened if DWW didn't win?   Very Happy

Or does the win just make it sweeter?

Congratulations to Kelly and George...you two look like a great match (that is based from the 3 weeks that I've known you two...ha ha ha)

We couldn't have won the mens and mixed without the two of you due to your strength, desire to win, and experience.

Just to let you all know they are still down in Cali doing a bike tour of the Napa Valley and her biggest fan and supporter ( her MoM) wanted me to put this up as she's very very proud that the 2 of them finally did this

You see .....Over the last few yrs they have been together Special K always thought inside " I wish he would buy me a ring ....maybe this will be the year"  but in typical male paddler mentality boyfriend/paddler/teammate George thought to himself ...." Hey, you know ...I really like those oc1's !! " and there went poor Special K hopes for another year .Skip ahead a yr and Special K is thinking "Ok,we got a OC1 maybe this year I'll get the bling" ......Yes she did ...a new Huki OC2 ...........Smilin George thinking this should make her happy now we can paddle together and poor Special K puts away the hope for another year as the budget was blown and the only thing she got out of that was wet as they Huli'd numerous times ,lol .

Ok onto this yr ....Special K is thinkin maybe this is the yr and G is thinkin ..."you know I think we should sell the oc1 and get 2 new oc1's , 1 for each of us" ............ Hey its what most of us guys would be thinkin  Wink and 2 new custom painted Huki oc'1's arrive ....Special K gets the more blingy of the 2 ( you can't miss her on it ) but still deep down inside poor Special K is thinking "What the hell are we doing with a fleet of oc's ?" Shocked lol ...we could start our own paddling club....G ? ...spin ahead to to San Fran and thats where we are now .

Moral of the story ... Never expect a male competitive paddler to commit to anything outside of paddling in a hurry.... you ladies should know this by now ...geez ! Hmmm...come to think of it when Special K said she was going to San Fran to bring back" hardware" I think she mean't something else .... Shocked

All I gotta say is "it's about time!". Geez I have known G for 5 years now and K for 4 as she joined us after year 1 when I was a member of PR. Then I marry my wife who was also a member of PR in my 3rd year with PR. My wife joined PR in its 2nd year. G & K and the whole PR gang was at the wedding to witness the event. And it was nice to see them of course as they ended up being a part of "our" family so to speak. Or were we a part of the PR Cult??? Anyway CONGRATS to both G & K on a great season only to have it finished off with a fantastic engagement. When's the date? Where are you 2 registered so I can buy your wedding gift? How long will the engagement last? Months? Years? Weeks maybe? No rush is there? Not like we did! LOL

Teamwork is so important that it is virtually impossible for the team to reach the heights of it's capabilities or achieve winning results without becoming very good at it. You must practice TEAMWORK as a team, not as individuals!

wow-I thought that was pretty "PG 13" as there was absolutely no nudity in that post, and it was a pic form the women's regatta-we were dressed like that in public.  If you were offended by that I apologize.

Awww shucks Paddleboy that's the nicest thing I've seen you say on here  Wink and thank you all for your warm wishes!  It was a very 'bling' filled vacation!  I didn't know at the dinner on Sunday night so no worries about a cake Puppy.  No date yet but perhaps we could do it on our OC1's!

Cheers!!!!!
