Hello,
My Name is David Cooper and I'm a paddler with the GHS Pirates, a High School Team out of Portland Oregon. I am graduating this year and I'll be attending the College of William and Mary in Virginia. I was wondering if anyone knew of any clubs, teams, or associations in the Williamsburg area of Virginia and any contact information for them. I'm familiar with the DC teams, but not of any Virginia teams although I've heard rumors of some teams in/near Virginia Beach. If there are not any clubs, teams, or associations to work with I then plan on starting a non-profit 501 (c) organization to propel Dragon Boating in the Williamsburg area and allow me to construct a team at William and Mary.
Any contact information or advise in setting up an organization would be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot!
