I heard that Strange Brew, Selkirk Serpents, Absolut Adrenaline, the New PI (Precision Impossible) are going.

On the flip side, Navy Dragon Anchors were going to Calgary.  A few other teams are doing the same from Vancouver Island.  Perhaps for the CCWC Canadian Qualifiers.

Xtreme Reach will definitely be there supporting our home club GRPC.  I personally will not be racing.  I am part of a group that is paddling the Bowron Lakes during that period.  Instead of 500 metre stints we'll be canoeing 125 km (including over 10km of portaging).  I should be back buff and ready for the Victoria International Festival the following week (wishful thinking of course).

Tiger, I think on the Gorge there will be a proper finish - ie, teams will have unambiguous results.  The conditions on the gorge are far better than at Richmond, or should I just say different from Richmond?  (which was interesting, to say the least - and it was cool racing there).

Gorge is fun....it started several years ago to give a taste of competition to stu teams practising at GRPC a week before the Victoria festival...it has evolved into a fun time.

The site is nice (no dust), and the races are great!....my team has lost many races there!  But always nice people!!

Please come  Very Happy    My team is St'Keya.....I would be interested in talking to someone such as you.

Looking forward to this race as it is always a well run event with a great beer garden and has exciting close finishes (Yes on video camera!) For the padlders who doubt it then come on over and catch a preview of what they will face the following week in the Victoria Festival.

i dunno know about the grpc junior team, it's so hard to tell about a new crew... like they could be bad, but then again, that junior pemberton team kicked some serious butt at alcan.  Shocked  look forward seeing them on the water this weekend.  Laughing
